![]() ![]() ![]() I searched a lot about the compatibility between these two programs, but the answers I found weren't very clear. So I want to know if I can simply install the ISO using WinHIIP like I used to and play it using OPL (launching its ELF by using uLaunchELF).īy doing so, I assume OPL will identify the installed games on my PS2 HDD and work fine, right? After that, can I change back to using HD Loader if I want to, in order to play other games? If you're like me, and only add a few PS2 games to your collection a month (since I have most of the ones I want at this point) it is easier to just rip a new one to. I don't wanna study all of that stuff just to play one game. OPL is definitely the better loader, but HDL is worth installing because it allows you to rip ps2 games right to the hard drive using the PS2's drive. I've been away from the PS2 scene for about 12 years now, so I was surprised to see there's this new tool called Open PS2 Loader (OPL). The HDLoader is stored in the HDD to save MC space. The boot method is an exploit using a PSone disc and a particular file in the memory card with uLaunchELF embarked. My PS2 is a fat 30001-R model that I used memory card exploit back in 2005 to install uLaunchELF and launch HDLoader to play games. I wanna play Klonoa 2 on my PS2 using the Hard Drive, but that game doesn't work with any version of HDLoader as far as I know (sound issues).
